To receive credit for prior learning through certificate completion, the student must be actively enrolled as a degree-seeking student at Adams State University and must be an undergraduate student in good standing.
Credits earned under this policy do not fulfill college residency requirements. Credit for certificate work will only be awarded as elective credit towards needed elective credit. The student will be required to assemble a portfolio of all documented training and knowledge including contact time, learning outcomes, dates of training, etc. to present to the Associate Vice President of Extended Studies- Academics who will then review in consultation with the Office of Academic Affairs.
Credit awarded from certificates will be transcribed after matriculation has been determined at no cost. Credit earned under this policy as elective credit will be recorded as ELEC 100 to 400 depending on the content and rigor demonstrated through the assessment.
