Adams State University recognizes the IB program and accords special consideration for students presenting IB credentials on an individual basis. To receive college credit, students who take the Higher level IB examination(s) must request that their scores be sent to Adams State University. Upon receipt of the scores, an evaluation for credit will be performed. Students will be notified by mail of the results of that evaluation.
Scores of 4 or better on the Higher Level IB examination will receive 3 (2 for specific Science courses) or more credits for each examination.
Students that have earned the International Baccalaureate Diploma and achieve a score of 4 or better on all Standard and Higher Level IB examinations will receive a minimum of 24 hours of general education credits. The area of general education and number of credits will be determined by the courses taken.
