The Music Department awards extensive scholarships annually!
Music merit scholarships, awarded by the music department, recognize musical abilities and interests, performance proficiency, academic success and need. These scholarships are renewable annually if a 3.0 GPA is maintained.
Additional endowed music scholarships are also available. These include the Gary and Judith Gaston Memorial Scholarship, the Ray, Ruth and Jimmy McGee Scholarship, the Don Richmond Scholarship, the Ed Richmond Scholarship, and the Richard Talley Scholarship, among others.
If you have a 3.9 or higher high school or community college GPA, you will receive an additional $3,000 scholarship. If you have a 3.25 to 3.89 GPA, you will receive an additional $1,000 scholarship. These merit scholarships apply to returning students as well. For more information on the many scholarships awarded by Adams State University, please contact Financial Aid.
