The program will include selections from Mark Hayes Requiem, Ralph Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem, Paul Aitken’s setting of John McCrae’s famous poem, “In Flanders Fields,” and readings by John Taylor, Ph.D., Adams State professor of theatre, from the war poetry written by Wilfred Owen, a British soldier who died one week before the signing of the armistice.

“It began with a small display of “Ofrendas” or “Altares” and decorations on the hall outside of the Foreign Language faculty offices. In the last few years, we collaborated with the Catholic Church, who allows the use of their stage and gymnasium,” Rayas Solís said.
