Who Can Use the Collection?

  • All device check-outs, with the exception of chargers, are restricted to current Adams State students, faculty, and staff.

How Do I Reserve an Item in the Collection?

  • Devices may be placed on hold in the library catalog. Speak with a library staff member if you need assistance.

  • You will have 3 days to pick up your device once you have been notified that it is available.

How do I Checkout and Return and Item?

  • Devices must be checked out at the circulation desk on the first floor of the library.

  • You may check out only one device at a time.

  • Devices check out for 2 weeks or 4 hours (depending on the device) and may not be renewed.

  • Devices must be returned to a library staff member at the circulation desk. Failure to return a device in person will result in a $25 fine and possible loss of library privileges.

What Happens After I Return an Item?

  • All devices will be erased upon return. Any files you wish to retain should be backed up on external storage.

  • You should not save any passwords on the library's equipment and you should log out of any applications before returning the device.

  • The Nielsen Library assumes no responsibility for any problems the devices may cause to any other equipment they are connected to.

Will I Be Fined if I Turn an Item in Late?

  • You will be charged a fine of $5.00 for each day that the device is late.

  • Fines must be paid during regular business hours at the One Stop Center in the Student Union Building and the receipt brought back to the library

What Happens if I Lose an Item?
