Adams State University will host “25 Yard Gap-The Veteran Experience,” by Dave Nordel, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, in Carson Auditorium, located in the Student Union Building, as part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). The event is free and open to the public.

Dave Nordel is a military transition coach and keynote motivational speaker and leadership coach. His visit will include two Veteran Transition Interactive Workshops on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The first from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. in McDaniel Hall 117 and the second from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the School of Business 238. Lunch will be provided at noon and light refreshments in the afternoon. The workshops are free and open to students and employees.

Dave NordelDave Nordel is the founder of Max Fab Consulting. According to maxfabconsulting.com, his life and career epitomize a profound dedication, resilience, and leadership journey. Retiring as a United States Air Force Command Chief Master Sergeant after over 30 years of service, Dave possesses an expansive and invaluable skill set. His academic acumen is evident with a bachelor’s degree in registered nursing, emphasizing emergency medicine, complemented by a master’s degree in disaster and emergency management. Dave Nordel is a published author and a recognized expert on moral injury. He offers keynote leadership, organizational growth, and strategic guidance. Drawing from his battle with PTSD, he remains deeply committed to assisting transitioning veterans and other trauma victims, guiding them toward healthier coping mechanisms.
