The Adams State University Department of History, Anthropology, Philosophy, Political Science, and Spanish hosts Ryan Swanson, Ph.D., University of New Mexico Honors College, and author of “The Strenuous Life: Theodore Roosevelt and the Making of the American Athlete” on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Swanson will discuss his recent book, a study of the impact President Theodore Roosevelt had on the development of sports and a sporting culture in the United States. There will be a limited number of his books available for sale and signing.
The event is free and open to the public. It will be held at 7 p.m. in McDaniel Hall, Room 101.
