Dr. Tom Gilmore, Laura Bell, Pat Gilmore, Danny Baker, President Beverlee J. McClure, Hannah Nakashima, Dr. Richard Baker, professor of English, and Leah McCormack, assistant professor of English, were present during the Adams State ETC Award ceremony on April 22.
The Adams State University English, Theatre, and Communication Department recently awarded students with ETC Awards during a ceremony which included the students reading from their work. Junior Hannah Nakashima ’17, creative writing major, was also recognized as the recipient of the Erin Gilmore Memorial Endowment.
"We were happy to support the excellence in creative writing we saw in Hannah," said Adams State Former President Tom Gilmore, alumnus ’67 ’68, and Pat Gilmore, alumna ’68. "There could be no finer tribute to our daughter, Erin, than supporting others in doing what she so loved."
Laura Bell ’16, English major, won the senior ETC Award and Danny Baker ’18, communications major, received the sophomore ETC Award.
