The Adams State University Salazar Rio Grande del Norte Center will host “A Conversation with Jason Ullmann” at 6 p.m. Monday, July 29, in McDaniel Hall 101. The event is free and open to the public and will include 30 minutes of moderated conversations and 30 minutes of questions and answers.
The Colorado Division of Water Resources State Engineer Jason Ullmann will discuss recent developments in the Division of Water Resources and the significance of Texas vs New Mexico and Colorado
As State Engineer, Jason Ullmann directs the Division of Water Resources in the performance of its responsibilities, which include administration of water rights in Colorado, issuing well permits, performing administrative approvals for water use, administering programs that ensure the safety of dams and the safe construction of water wells, and providing information and education resources to the public. He has worked for the Division of Water Resources since 2010, first as the assistant division engineer in Division 4 (Gunnison and San Miguel Basins) for eleven years followed by three years as a deputy state engineer. Prior to coming to the Division of Water Resources, Jason Ullmann served as city engineer for the City of Montrose, and before that, worked for consulting firms designing raw water infrastructure. He is a native of Colorado and a graduate of Colorado State University.
