Adams State University saw 700 students apply for admission during the Colorado Free Application Day held on Oct. 15, according to figures released by the Colorado Department of Higher Education.
To inspire more Coloradans to continue their education, Adams State, along with all 32 public colleges and universities, waived admissions application fees as part of the second Colorado Free Application Day.
The free application day, an initiative of the Colorado governor’s office, is proving popular. Adams State through its promotion of Colorado Free Application day saw the number of applicants increase from 2018 when 591 students applied to Adams State on Colorado Free Application Day.
Adams State will continue its push for students when it hosts Discover Adams State University on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Students and families can register at Visit Adams State or call 719-5897-8146. The Discover Day includes a brunch beginning at 9:30 a.m., a welcome at 10:30 a.m., and then breakout sessions on financial aid, student information panels and a campus tour.
Adams State is the most affordable residential university in Colorado when factoring in the total cost of attendance, which includes tuition and fees and room and board. Adams State’s annual net tuition and fees cost is $9,440 compared to the state average of $10,919. Adams State’s annual room and board cost of $8,700 is the lowest in the state.
