Adams State University and the San Luis Valley were well represented as four of six agbusiness students placed in the top ten at the Colorado Farm Bureau statewide collegiate discussion meet in Denver from November 18 through November 20.
Each chapter can take six members to state competition. Adams State Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter traveled this year with seven students, including an alternate, if needed.
Jordyn Neely took first place, earning her the right to represent Colorado at national competition in Pittsburgh, Penn., this February.
"We would like to thank our community members and the institution, as well as the local and state Farm Bureau chapters for supporting the endeavors of our young agriculturalists as they travel to network and compete with other young professionals across the state and the nation," said Dr. Zena Buser, Adams State professor of business. "We all have reason to be very proud of our young professionals, they represent us very well. The future is in good hands."
