The ASU Counselor Education Department is hosting the third annual Spring Symposium, “Working on Interventions to Navigate Generational Stress (WINGS)”, on Friday, February 21, in Richardson Hall Auditorium.
This free event will provide information for counselors, teachers, social workers, and community members, or others working with students, clients, and families impacted by Generational Stress.
Keynote speaker, Paul Osincup is a positive workplace strategist who helps organizations create happier, healthier, and more connected places to work. Osincup’s global mission for workplace happiness has provided him the opportunity to work with hundreds of organizations including Nasdaq and the Harvard Kennedy School of Leadership. He is also a certified Stress Mastery Educator with the American Institute of Stress, and a training partner with the international work culture consultancy, “Delivering Happiness.” Osincup’s work has been highlighted in Forbes, and on Sirius XM Radio.
The morning keynote speaker, Angel Knoverek, a clinical faculty member with the Counselor Education Department, specializes in childhood trauma, evidence-based practices/interventions, and clinical mental health services in schools.
Tickets are free to the public. An onsite continental breakfast, lunch, and snack will be provided. A schedule will be posted prior to the event with sessions and times. Continuing education credits will be offered. Half-day participants will receive 3.5 hours, and full-day participants will receive 7 hours – NBCC provider #4219.
