The sixth annual Women’s Week, geared toward celebrating women and their accomplishments and continued struggles, will be held from March 9 through March 13 on the Adams State University campus. The events are planned and organized by a committee of students, faculty, and staff and led by Mari Centeno, Ph.D. professor of political science.

An additional activity for Women’s Week is “A Wall of Shame,” which will be built from bricks inscribed with words used to demean or hurt individuals. At the end of the week, the wall will be torn down in an act of solidarity and empowerment. All campus and community members are invited to paint a brick throughout the week near the Japanese/American Memorial Garden, and then gather at 1 p.m. Friday, March 13 to tear the wall down.
