James M. Lind, D.M.A., assistant professor of music and director of wind bands and coordinator of brass studies, was invited to perform as Acting Principal Trumpet with the San Juan Symphony in Durango, Colo., April 5 & 6. He played Prokofiev’s Symphony no 5, which has many exposed parts for the trumpet, and received special distinction and applause from the conductor at the end of the concert.
