The next Adams State University Faculty Lecture will explore the role that party platforms play in presidential elections. Dr. Robert Demski, professor of psychology, and Dr. Michael Mumper, professor of political science, will present Making Sense of the 2016 Presidential Election at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, in Porter Hall room 130.
Mumper will describe the history and function of party platforms and Demski will do a value assessment of the 2016 Republican and Democratic platforms, and describe the link between the platforms and the candidate policy positions.
All ASU Faculty Lectures in the series are free and open to the public. Complimentary light refreshments will be offered.
