As part of Adams State University’s Wellness Week, the United Campus Ministry is sponsoring a drive to "Fill the Truck" with donations for the Food Bank Network of the San Luis Valley. Until Nov. 6, donations of canned or packaged food may be deposited in the vintage truck parked during the day on First & Edgemont, near the grizzly statue.
Student Esperanza Garduno (pictured above) is organizing the food drive to help families in need. Roughly one-quarter of San Luis Valley residents receive food aid each year. Questions may be directed to the United Campus Ministry at (719)-587-7516.
