The San Luis Valley Symphony will present its Spring Classics Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 9, in Richardson Auditorium, located on the Adams State University campus. Under the direction of Dr. William Lipke, the program will feature popular selections including Ludwig van Beethoven’s dramatic Overture to the Creatures of Prometheus, J. S. Bach’s profound Orchestral Suite No. 4 in D Major. The program will conclude with audience favorites from Aram Khachaturian’s well known "Gayaneh" ballet, including the popular "Sabre Dance."
The SLV Symphony is composed of former and current professional orchestra members, Adams State faculty members, All-State level students, and community members.
