The SandHill Review is a publication consisting of works created by the students at Adams State University as well as community members. Submissions are open to anyone that wishes to have their work published. Although not everyone who submits gets their work into each edition; a great deal do.
The Review seeks to showcase the local and regional talent of students and community members. This is achieved by receiving and reviewing submissions in the categories of poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, 2D and 3D Art.
There is no requisite theme for work submitted as we strive for quality not adherence to one belief or hierarchy. However, we hope the entries in The Review illuminate those hemispheres of the physical and mental worlds, including nature and love, heartache and loss and anything effective and beautiful.
The capacity and need for individuals to be inspired by art and literature drives the annual publication. Art in whatever form is important to the development of people and their emotional connection with their environment. This can include the natural world, but also the need for beautiful thoughts and things to encourage more thought.
