Tandberg is the 12th President of Adams State University
On April 21, David A. Tandberg, Ph.D., was selected by unanimous vote of the Adams State University Board of Trustees as the twelfth president, to take effect after finalizing contract terms, already agreed to in principle with all finalists.
Dr. Tandberg has guided Adams State through the last 10 months as interim president. His dedication and strong leadership skills and practical management style stood out among the finalists.

The Adams State presidential search committee selected four finalists to move forward in the search for the next president of Adams State University.
The candidates were recommended by a search advisory committee comprised of students, faculty, staff, and community leaders, and co-chaired by Board of Trustees Jonathon Marquez, Class of 2013, and Mark Martinez, Class of 2013.
Once interview scheduling is finalized, the Board of Trustees and the entire campus community will have the opportunity to meet all finalists. The Board will carefully review all feedback collected as they select the next president:

The Board of Trustees for Adams State University is conducting a comprehensive and inclusive search for a permanent president. The search for a permanent president is co-chaired by Board members Mark Martinez and Jonathan Marquez.
“Over the past year the Board of Trustees has come to realize that the University is entering a new era requiring forward thinking leadership and strategic direction,” said BOT Chair Michele Lueck. “As we move forward, we look for improvements in campus climate, increased enrollment, and student success.”
