Dear Adams State Community:
The presidential search executive committee conducted its first virtual meeting Tuesday morning, September 13, 2022. The executive committee is tasked with moving forward the day-to-day work of the larger presidential search committee and manage the logistics of the search committee objectives.
At the August 25th meeting of the presidential search committee, the committee decided that a Request for Proposal (RFP) to recruit a search firm to assist in the presidential search process was the appropriate next step. At that direction, the executive committee started the needed work immediately and used the September 13th meeting to prioritize finalizing and submitting a Request for Proposals to help find a search firm (that will be the best partner for Adams State and that shares our institutional values and vision). The search committee continues to prioritize finding a partner firm as quickly as possible. However, we appreciate your patience as the procurement process is expected to not be completed until October 2022 due to statutory and legal requirements.
Lastly, thank you for being active participants in our search for the next President of Adams State University and for your continued interest in the on-going search process. It is important to remember we are still very early in the process and are moving forward at a thoughtful and intentional pace, and we look forward to all your thoughts and guidance throughout the process.
Transparency remains one of our top priorities, so please continue to refer to the presidential search landing page for future communications. https://www.adams.edu/trustees/presidential-search/
Go Grizzlies!
